This piece of Italy in every home, will not look as good as on the Neapolitan villa but will bring the spirit of Mediterranean to your home. The best location for this Italian style conservatory is the southern side of the house and a little bit higher of the ground. Typical Italian style decision - a patio, which is present in almost all Italian homes. In fact, this winter garden is build as a continuation of a covered terrace, with only roof and no walls. Considering your needs and peculiarities of the climate in your region, the patio can be done not entirely open and with glass roof.

As a rule, on the floor of the Italian conservatory dominates artificially aged tile and the walls are drawn in white. They should look as if scorched under the burning sun. It should be noted, that none of the Italian garden is complete without sculpture and an artificial pond with rectangular or round shape. Usually a small pool is located in the center of the winter garden. Located around the pool are Italian ceramic bowls with planted citrus plants, wrought-iron furniture with glass or mosaic table tops, lots of white stone pots and antique-style benches. And lets not forget the favorite Italian furniture - chairs. Imperative, which incidentally, is shared by all well-known Italian designers - all should be comfortable, but elegant.

Even if you do not plan to use your conservatory as a greenhouse, it makes sense to decorate the patio with at least a small number of plants. Without them, the Italian style may lose its uniqueness. Shrubs in this stylistic concept are normally cut in the shape of a sphere or cube and placed in clear geometric patterns. Beds - if any - necessarily rectangular. Flowers - crocuses, tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and lilies. They will help to sustain the desired coloring - usually red, orange, yellow and blue tones. A beautiful addition to the Italian conservatory can be well placed hedge. And most important - for the Winter garden in the Italian style are the sounds in it. Typically, this is the murmur of water falling, splashing fountain or even an echo of footsteps
